Twins are here!

Well, the boys were born on 4:17pm on Friday, May 16th! Isaac was pulled out first. He was 5lbs, 11oz, and 18" long. Hunter came next at 6lbs, 13oz, and 18" long. This was very emotional for Mommy as I got to meet my long awaited babies for the first time!!! Dustin and I were truly in awe! We love them sooo much, and now have a much deeper understanding of how much God loves us. God is truly amazing, and I'll thank Him every day for these little miracles!!!!!

Week 37 - Here they come!

Well, we made it to the scheduled c-section date! May 16, 2008 will be their birthday!!! Everything is ready to go, and we meet at the hospital at 2pm for a 4pm c-section. The final positions are: Isaac is still head down, and Hunter is now transverse, across my body.

Welcome to the world, boys!!! We are going to love you sooo much!

Week 36

Well, this week, we got to find out the weights again! They are going to be big boys. We are predicting 6 and 7lbs, respectively. I'm so excited to meet these little guys!!!

Isaac:
5lbs, 9oz

Hunter:
6lbs, 10oz

Weeks 33-35

These weeks, starting on Week 32, we are now having weekly sonograms, however, the boys are so big that the pictures don't turn out as well. They are not checking the weights until Week 36, however, we are estimating they are 5.5 and 6.5 pounds by now!! But they are doing bio-physical profiles (BPPs) on them every week, and they are getting PERFECT scores!! We can see them breathing, and everything! Pretty cool.

I'm starting to get more and more uncomfortable. I can't walk around very much at all now, and started Braxton Hicks contractions (although I cannot feel them at all).

Week 31-32

Well, we finally have everything organized from all the showers. We are really ready! We've passed the week 32 timeline, and are anticipating what their weights will be.

Weeks 29-30

Well, I had another sonogram. Hunter is now almost 4lbs, and Isaac is almost 3 (which is exactly perfect). They are no longer concerned with the fact that their weights are different, since Isaac is exactly where he is supposed to be, and maybe a little bigger.

The babies are starting to push up into my ribs. We went to the ER, when 2 of my ribs were pushed out of place. Our favorite neighborhood chiropractors fixed one, and the other fixed itself, but both babies are starting to push on vital organs and ribs.

Also, the kicking is now starting to feel like popping. DH cannot believe how hard the kicking has become. I think they are going to be some really good soccer players!

Week 28

Well, we've now reached week 28!! Wohoo! That means the boys could come at any time now, but they would be ok if they did.

I had a doctor's appointment this week, and had my glucose test and my rhogham shot, so I'm good to go!!

We've also been checking out pediatricians.

Week 26

I'm starting to get a lot more uncomfortable this week. My sleeping is sometimes aluding me due to being uncomfortable, or just not being able to sleep. My belly button has also finally popped out.

This week, we had doctor appointments, and found out the weights are staring to get a little difference in them. Isaac is at 1 lb, 15 oz, and Hunter is at 2 lb, 5 oz. Doctors don't want them over 20% difference. However, the good news is that Isaac is not small, but Hunter is just big for his age. Isaac is still doing well, but they will monitor me closely.

Week 25

We started seeing the kicking and movement on the outside of my belly now!!! They are very active, and now weirdly enough, they are getting on the same schedule. I feel kicking from both sides at the same time now.

Week 24

Kicking is increasing. I can feel them moving 75% of the time. They are on different schedules.

Week 23

Talked to Doctor, and she said that starting at week 28, I'd have to go in every week. Also at week 28 is my insulin test and my Rhogam shot.

Twins are kicking all the time. They can now hear the sound of my voice so, hubby and I are talking to them now.

Week 22

I had a sonogram this week!!! The boys are still doing great.

Fun Facts:
Baby A:
¨ On left side of my body facing down
¨ Weighs about 15 oz
¨ Is the more active one (kicks hard)
¨ Is little less than 12” long
¨ About 2 days ahead of due date in growth

Baby B:
¨ On right side of my body facing up (breach)
¨ Weighs about 1 lb, 1 oz
¨ Hits me, instead of kicks, since he is breach (although I think he’s head-butted me a couple of times)
¨ Is little less than 12” long
¨ About 3 days ahead of due date in growth

Week 21

Everything has been smooth sailing. The twins are starting to get a lot more active now. I'm anxious to know where they are positioned so I know what is kicking or hitting me where.

Week 20

I felt movement on the outside this week!!! I called Hubby over, and he felt it as well. They aren't super hard kicks, but they are definitely kickin'. Hubby was excited to feel the movement. I'm excited for him to bond with them like I have.

I can feel them moving every time I eat now! Or when I get hungry, they are like "FEED ME!". I am starting to drink a glass of milk every day, so that I can keep up with calcium requirements. I missed a couple of glasses, and got really bad leg cramps. I guess I need it.

Week 19

I'm doing well, and starting to look into maternity leave, classes, etc.

Hubby got a lot of gift cards from work, so we went and bought some "boy" things for the room.

My belly is about at 40", and I've gained about 25 lbs (hope it starts to slow a little). ;)

We also have picked out names: Isaac Bryce and Hunter Chase.

Week 18 - We found out!

We found out what we are having! We are having 2 boys!!!! Dustin and my dad were so excited!!! Dustin has already started painting the room a football theme, complete with a goal post.

I was happy that they were both measuring accurately, and looked really healthy. I didn't care whether they were boys or girls, as long as they are healthy.

HOWEVER, boys in my family are 100% more mischievious, so I know I will have my hands full! ;)

Week 17

The babies' movement is getting stronger and more frequent. They are definitely NOT on the same schedule. I grew 1.5" in 4 days while I was home for Christmas. Crazy!

Week 16

I felt the babies for the first time this week!! It felt like a small tapping or muscle spasms inside my stomach.

Weeks 14-15

Still feeling fine, but not feeling any movement yet. I figured I'd feel it sooner, since there are two of them in there. Starting to get anxious to find out if they are boys or girls.

Week 13

It is now after Thanksgiving, and I popped out a LOT in just 1 week. I can Definitely tell it is the babies this time. :) And ovaries are getting smaller.

I had a nucle translucency to check for chromosomal abnormalities, and everything came back fine. Babies showing a lot of punching activities in the sonogram. Dustin swears they are boys.

Week 11

Starting to show a little bit (I think). It is hard to tell, since my midsection was already pooched out due to big ovaries. But I think I can tell a little difference this week.

Week 10

I am now fully recovered from the surgery and doing well. I can see lots of movement in the sonograms!!!!

Week 9

On Halloween, I woke up with a severe ovarian torsion on my left ovary. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life - Pain was at a 10. Hubby rushed me to the hospital, and they put me in emergency surgery.

My mom came down to be with us during this time. It was fabulous, since she is a nurse. She was able to help take care of me.

My ovary was twisted 1.5 times. Sonograms confirmed that we had lost baby C - no more heartbeat. We know God has a plan for us. Although we will always miss and wonder what it would have been like if baby C would have made it, God was with us throughout.

The twins are still doing fabulous, and we even saw them doing flips. We know they must be really strong.

I didn't really need too many pain meds, but had a small fever as a result of my lungs collapsed from the surgery.

Week 8

Babies are doing well, and heartbeats are all strong. Baby C's sac still a little small.

I have started going to a high risk doctor this week. The office is really nice. They have a projection on the wall, so you can see everything very large.

There is a confirmed membrane between Baby A and B (identical ones). That is a very good sign.

Week 6-7

Three confirmed embryos!!! Wow! 2 are identical and 1 is fraternal. Baby C, the fraternal one is 1 week behind in development, and sac is a little small. Doc isn't really optimistic.

Heard 3 distict heartbeats. Dustin about passed out. 3 babies!

Weeks 5-8

Suffering from severe hyperstimulation due to fertility meds. I am retaining a lot of water, hard to breathe and walk, and extremely unconfortable.

I am drinking a lot of gatorade, and am basically sick of it at this point.

They drained almost 2000 cc's from me at the end of week 8, but it went right back. Praying for end to this stage.

Week 5

Possibility of 3 embryos. The doctor wasn't 100% sure, but we were floored.

Week 4

On Friday 9/28/07, we found out we were pregnant!!!! Pregnancy test on 9/30 again confirmed beta of 147, which is pretty high. Typically expect 50-100.

Wonder what that means?
